I’ve been thinking…
As everyone else does, but tonight. I’m thinking about the things I’ve experienced these past few weeks; especially with the production of the show Unikkaaqtuat.
Since this creation/production of this circus show that I’ve been a part of since the first leg of production in March/April in Igloolik Nunavut the second leg was in May/June in Montreal; through both of these moments my life has changed so dramatically in such a short time span, even still now.
I’ve made connections with people whom I’ve never met before hand. With these new connections we’ve all gone on a journey together to tell Inuit creation myths on stage through Circus, Projections, Light, Sound, and Music.
With all of these elements together we’ve made a interpretation of these creation myths in a whole new light, on stage with circus and performance arts. Whereas these stories have been passed down through our Ancestors for thousands of years on to me and to the next generations.
With this story that we tell together, the journey we ventured to get to this point has made me think of my life in a whole new light. I’ve become more conscious of my actions and decisions and I’ve been more satisfied with everything I do and who I do it with.
And I believe that through this experience is an example of the line, “do good things and good things will happen” essentially just Karma. But this law of attraction in nature and our minds really just shows how everything we do has an effect in ours lives; as it should.
And I really hope I can translate this energy through my photos I’ve taken during this production. I hope that I can make you understand how I feel when I captured photos of this creation.
I just need to tell this story right.
